Chad Wackerman demonstrates the BR-CW Paintbrush, an amazing new combination of drum stick, brush and mallet. Chad showcases the wide pallet of sounds you can produce with this really cool new tool for drummers and percussionists.
BR-CW Chad Wackerman Paintbrush with retractable wood handle:
The BR-CW Chad Wackerman Paintbrush provides the player with a number of different choices of timbre colors. Built on a red hickory wooden handle, this retractable medium gauge wire brush features a soft rubber sleeve near the brush fan and a strip of felt surrounding the butt end. The pull rod of the BR-CW also includes a nylon tip allowing for defined articulation on cymbals. These various features allow the player to create a greater number of sounds without having to change to other striking implements including cross stick, cymbal swells, and ride patterns. All these colors are achieved while maintaining a solid, comfortable, balanced feel making the BR-CW Paintbrush the most unique brush available.
Now I have gotta try this!

What is TMEA?
Begun in 1920 as the Texas Band Teachers Association, the Texas Music Educators Association is an organization of over 12,000 school music educators dedicated to promoting excellence in music education. TMEA is comprised of five divisions: Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary and College.
On behalf of its members and Texas schoolchildren, TMEA carefully monitors the actions of all state decision-making bodies on issues affecting fine arts instruction in Texas. In addition to many member benefits, TMEA offers professional development opportunities for its members with Region workshops and especially with its annual Clinic/Convention. TMEA supports the future of music education by offering scholarships to music education majors and by sponsoring the Texas Future Music Educators, an organization through which high school students interested in careers in music education learn more about what to expect in their college education and future careers.
